UNAA Times | www.unaatimes.com | Omega Bugembe Okello | On the evening of October 10th, I will have the great honor of headlining at a benefit concert organized by the Village Enterprise Fund. This is a cause near and dear to my heart. Village Enterprise Fund has developed and refined a successful program that combines training, seed capital grants and ongoing mentorship to help committed, hard-working people launch small businesses in East Africa.
Village Enterprise Fund will be hosting Anti-Poverty week events throughout the week of October 10th – October 17th. These events coincide with the United Nations’ Global Anti-Poverty Day on October 17th. Their goal is to raise awareness and come together to do all they can to stop hunger and severe poverty, giving those who are suffering a voice and hope for their future. I am proud to be representing a noble and vital cause such as this.
