By Ronnie Mayanja | www.unaatimes.com | The long awaited Galiwango Film Preview event was held on Sunday January 24th 2010 at the Sheraton Rwenzori Ballroom in what was a colorful and well attended ceremony.
The event which was organised in an attempt to create more awareness and seek sponsorship for the new upcoming Galiwango Film written and Directed by Mr. Solomon Jagwe was a great success. The Entertainment was was off the hook with the Maurice Kirya experienced Band leading the way, then came Xenson the art designer whose gorilla centric fashion show and poetic presentation had the audience glued to the cat walk. Steve Jean and his Fenon Entertainment Crew transformed the Ballroom to capture the Forest like atmosphere, While Mr. Jagwe did a great job with all the Gorilla Art drawings that were placed on sale to help fund raise for this Project.

The Guest of Honor at the occasion was the Hon. Nelson Wambuzi the Minister of State for Tourism and Trade. The event was sponsored by Uganda Wildlife Authority and the Galiwango Film is an inward looking project meant to supplement the Friend Gorilla Campaign efforts in helping to conserve and protect the world’s remaining silverback gorillas.
