By Ronnie Mayanja | www.unaatimes.com | On Friday January 29th 2010 Uganda became the first East and Central African country to host the pied piper of R&B in what was dubbed the ‘I believe Concert’ at the Lugogo cricket Oval. An estimated crowd of about 36,000 people showed up for the R. Kelly one hour concert that left many in the audience incensed as many of the 30,000 shilling attendees were still making their way into the stadium. The fees ranged from 250,000 shillings for the Platinum wing, 125,000 shillings for the Gold section and the general sitting was 30,000 shillings.
The event sponsored by Zain, Uganda and managed by Silk Events, received perhaps what can be described as the best promotion Uganda had seen in recent years. UNAA Times News Team was in attendance and brings you the highlights in pictures of what transpired!
