By Ronnie Mayanja | www.unaatimes.com | I recently returned from Kampala, Uganda were I had gone on a short but eventful holiday that had me travel to many places. But the one aspect of this trip that perhaps became a highlight of my stay in Uganda was my visit to the the newly established Hope Watoto Leadership Academy. This project that is owned and operated by the Watoto Church (former Kampala Pentecost Church) has definitely touched lives and transformed our community.
As a pioneer KPC member it was quite refreshing to see what the integrity and dedication of the Skinners has done for Uganda over the years. Although I had purposed to go and thank Pastor’s Gary and Marilyn Skinner personally for their contribution to our country, I felt that perhaps sharing some of the images of Hope Academy and the Watoto Children’s Village of Suubi might help put their vision into perspective for all those living out here in the diaspora. We too can make a difference.
