VERNON – Roadies from the Invisible Children Organization hosted two assemblies at Vernon Township High School as part of their mission to heighten awareness of the tragedy of the children kidnapped in Uganda, and now the Congo, and forced to become soldiers by the Lords Resistance Army.

Vernon’s TJ Cummins and Michelle DiMartino with Ugandan Barbara and roadie Chris.
Vernon High students Terence “TJ” Cummins and Michelle DiMartino organized the visit, which included Ugandan Barbara and Invisible Children Roadie Chris. Barbara’s father and three cousins were murdered by the LRA while she hid with her grandmother in the jungle. The Invisible Children roadies are available to visit any school and can be contacted through their Web site: www.invisiblechildren.com.
