DIASPORA CONCERTS ~ Juliana Kanyomozi’s summer party in Boston!

Julian Kanyomozi performed Live in Boston at the American Legion Hall in Newton, after an absence of 3 years. The event was partly sponsored by DJ Tonny, Base Entertainment, MPC Multi Professional Consults and Faith Tech Sounds.

Juliana took to the stage at about 11:30pm and performed all the crowd favorites like Nabikoowa, Diana, Taata wa baana yani, Maama Mbiire, Kanyiimbe, Gwewange and Nkulinze. An Alumni of Namasagali College, Juliana’s musical career first started out as a one half of an all girl group I-Jay with Iryn Namubiru in the late 1990s. She later launched her solo career that has seen her traverse the globe. Later this year Juliana is expected to be among the headliners at this year’s UNAA Convention in Denver.

Juliana was also the first female artist from Uganda to win the coveted ‘Artist of the year award’, during the Pearl Of Africa Music Awards in 2008. Juliana is a cousin to King Oyo of Tooro and the mother to Keron Kabugo.
