By Ronnie Mayanja, UNAA Times, Dispatch from Kampala ~ On Saturday November 4th, Kampala city came to a complete stand still when American based business mogul and entrepreneur Mr. Flex Kabuye Kawooya introduced his fiancee Princess Mable Nakamaanya in a colorful ceremony held at Najjanankumbi in Kampala.

Many of Kampala’s socialites that included General Katumba Wamala, the Commander of Land Forces in Uganda, Brigadier Elly Kayanja, brother to the groom to be, were among the big shots in crowd.

Members of Parliament Fred Badda, representing Bujjumba County in Kalangala district and Mathias Kasamba who represents Kakuuto County in Rakai district also accompanied Flex Kabuye as did the Mayors of Kiira and Mukono town. But perhaps the most notable group of attendees was the Kwagalana group led by City businessman Godfrey Kirumira, Anatoli Mugisha of Akright, a property and real estates dealer, best man Mr. Tom K. Kaaya, the Chairman of Kaka Investments, Haruna Kibirige the Managing Director of Hotel Africana, and the owner of Youma Investments.

The entourage set off from Brigadier Kayanja’s home in Mutundwe before making a stop over at Kaka Service center in Mengo. Accompanying the convoy was a team of military and police escorts that helped clear traffic for the nearly 80 long car convoy.

The guests were later entertained at Club Silk in Kampala and on Sunday Flex held his official after party first wedding meeting at Hotel International Muyenga.

Guests at the introduction function were treated to fire works, entertained to local traditional dancing groups and an array of local artists that included Grace Nakimera, Mesach Semakula, Haruna Mubiru, Ragga Dee, Desire Luzinda, Mayanja, Sophie Gombya, Angela Kalule, Dr. Hildermann to mention but a few.

The groom to be donated a brand new car to his new bride and an assortment of gifts that included goats, cows, and other household items. Flex and Marble will be joined in holy matrimony at St Paul’s Cathedral in Namirembe on January 7th 2011.
