The Miss UNAA Pageant was crowned on Sunday 5th September 2010 at the Gaylord National Convention ballroom. The winner of this very first Miss UNAA Pageant was Miss Yvette Kibwika of Florida, The first runner up was Miss Samali Birungi Senyana, Second runner up was Nive Victoria Lindeire, while third runner up went to Rachael Senjule. The prize for the Face book fan favorite went to Miss Louise Nabukalu of Maryland while Miss Photogenic was Sandra Kaasa Nanziri from Massachusetts. The pageant organiser Miss Sophie Mukasa promised a more revamped pageant during the UNAA Denver convention.

As always UNAA Times attended the crowning ceremony and now brings you the highlights in pictures.

 

The Miss UNAA Pageant kicked off on Friday the 3rd of September 2010 at the Gaylord National Convention ballroom.  There were 9 contestants altogether representing the different states where Ugandans reside in the USA. UNAA Times brings you some photos highlighting the beautiful Ugandan Ladies.

 

UNAA D.C 2010 Convention: DAY 3 ~ Here are some photos from Day 3 of the D.C Convention. The main event was the the boat cruise which departed from the National harbor. The highlight was Radio and Weasel performing their hit songs. Ugandans danced away and relaxed as they floated off into the night along the Potomac River. The Boat returned at 10:00pm.

 

UNAA D.C 2010 Convention: DAY 2 ~ Here are some photos from Day 2 of the D.C Convention. The day opened with the Forums and Debate day launch. This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Akiiki Daisy Kabagarama. She talked about “Together we will always Stand: Seven Step Process for Peace in Uganda. Mr.Alexander Zabasajja moderated: Uganda’s Political System ~ Question was: Under which political system will Uganda Prosper Better? Federalism Vs Unitary Vs Regional Governments. The last item was the debate moderated by D. Muniini Muleera. Debates by: DP, FDC, NRM and UPC.

    I would like to be part of 2010 UNAA Convention D.C 2010. Iam in Kampala and i have never travelled to USA but need to travel for the first time and to meet Ugandans living there. I hold a valid passport to 2018, iam an accoutant working at Colline Group of companies at Colline House Kampala.
