With the likes of Powerhouse Germany and Argentina steamrolling through opponents. This has indeed been a World Cup full of surprises. It makes for a sweet ending for 2 teams that have been vying for the world cup for such a long time.

There will be rejoicing once the final whistle is blown and the winner will go home to a triumphant heroes return.. I cringe at the thought of being in the hurdle of the loser though, thinking and wishing and praying … wondering what if … tears are going to flow, both of anguish and triumph. Emotions are not going to be in short supply and I think the Vuvuzellas are going to seem even louder. This is a beautiful game after all and thank you South Africa for welcoming us into your fold and making it such a memorable experience.

Soccer makes our blood boil | Our passion for soccer has never waned even though we are thousands of miles from home, and far removed from playing in the dusty and often grass challenged soccer fields in and around kampala. We still love this game and our eyes and ears will be glued to any news from South Africa as we track our favorite teams. If only Uganda had been a part of these historical games in Africa – but thats a dream for another day.
